Visual folklore of ordinary life
I collect things.
Not necessarily important things. Often quite the opposite.
I like things that carry memories or say something about who we are. The objects we use, the things we make, the food we grow up with, the little traditions that somehow stick around. Grandmother’s pie, or the music player that soundtracked that particular period of your life.
Kikidebiki is my little archive. I draw the things that catch my attention and turn them into an illustrated photo album. Together, they make up a visual collection of ordinary life.
And there is always more to collect.
